ENSENADA, BAJA CALIFORNIA, MEXICO, NOV. 21, 2020― BFGoodrich® Tires took first place in the Trophy Truck class for the recent 53rd SCORE Baja 1000, as the fastest four-wheel vehicle driven by Luke McMillin and Larry Roeseler won the race on BFGoodrich Baja T/A® KR3 tires.
- In 45 years, BFGoodrich® Tires has won 31 overall Baja 1000 races
- Luke McMillin takes the win, with Rob MacCachren finishing second
- It was the fourth win for McMillin Racing in 2020. Luke won the Mint 400, Silver State 300, and Baja 1000. His brother, Dan McMillin, won the Baja 500.
Once the teams cleared the finish line, official results confirmed that eight of the top 10 overall finishers raced on BFGoodrich tires, marking the 31st overall win for the brand in the Baja 1000.
“This was an exciting win for us and Luke McMillin,” said Peter Calhoun, BFGoodrich motorsports manager. “Our 31st overall win in the Baja 1000 over 45 years is evidence of BFGoodrich’s commitment to provide championship winning tires.”
Not only did McMillin’s Trophy Truck victory display BFGoodrich Tires desert-racing dominance, there were 9 additional wins in other classes.
