Toyota has been selling the all-new Corolla Cross since 14th September in Japan. However, the production of the Toyota Cross was first started in Thailand back in 2020. But the JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) has been launched recently. Also, Toyota has redesigned the Corolla Cross for the Japanese market. Toyota aims to sell 4400 units of the Corolla Cross every month in Japan. These vehicles will be manufactured at the Takaoka plant.

The Corolla Cross has been launched with two different variants. One is the non-hybrid variant and the other is the hybrid variant.
The grades available for the non-hybrid variant are:

The grades available for the hybrid variant are:

- Engine and Transmission
Toyota is offering a 1.8 liter 2ZR-FAE engine for the non-hybrid/gasoline variant of the Corolla Cross. All grades under the non-hybrid variant have a front wheel drive system. In addition, Toyota is providing Super CVT-i (Continuously Variable Transmission) with the Corolla Cross.
The hybrid variant has a lot to offer. It has a 1.8-liter 2ZR-FXE engine accompanied by THS (Toyota Hybrid System) II with reduction gear. Every grade under this variant has either FWD (Front-Wheel Drive) system or E Four (Electronic Four-Wheel Drive) system.
- Fuel Economy
Toyota claims that the Z grade of the hybrid variant of the Corolla Cross (2WD) can get a fuel economy of 26.2km/l. Undoubtedly, it is a class-leading fact.
- Exterior
The new Corolla Cross has a catchy exterior. Toyota is offering eight different colors on this car. The front is quite different from that of the Thai version of the Corolla Cross. Toyota designed this vehicle keeping the urban philosophy in their mind. The car looks active and sporty. Because of the upper body, passengers can stay relaxed.
Interior
The dashboard looks almost the same as the other models of the Corolla series. The interior design is sophisticated and bold. The front seats feel sporty and comfortable at the same time. Passengers can find plenty of room inside the cabin. Also, there is enough openness. The ride is comfortable too.
- Boot Space
The Corolla Cross has 487 liters of boot space, which is good enough. The size of boot space may vary for the E Four grades. The rear seats are foldable. As a result, it is possible to increase the space if needed.
- Price
The price of the grades under the non-hybrid variant starts from 1,999,000 yen and ends at 2,640,000 yen.
The price of the grades under the hybrid variant starts from 2,590,000 yen and ends at 3,199,000 yen.
